Who we are<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FCXI is a social network for football that connects players, clubs, scouts, coaches and other football professionals. Who is FCXI for?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You must be at least 13 years old to create an FCXI account. If you are under 13, you may not use FCXI. If we find out that an account belongs to someone under 13, we will delete the account and its data.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FCXI is intended for players, clubs, scouts, coaches and others active in the football world.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>3. What data do we collect?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We only collect the data we need to make FCXI work. This includes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Account data:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> your email address (used to log in with a one-time code, without a password) and a unique user ID.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Football profile (players):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> name, date of birth, playing positions, category, height, preferred foot, availability, region, biography and an optional profile link.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Club profile (clubs and scouts):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> club name, location, contact person, website and social media channels.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Content you share:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> profile photos, gallery photos, highlight videos, captions and posts on the feed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Messages:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the messages you exchange with other users via chat.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Usage data:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> how you use the app, for example which profiles you view or follow and how often your posts are viewed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Technical data:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a push notification token and the language you use in the app.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Contact with us:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the data you share when you email us.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We do not ask for your exact GPS location. You enter your region yourself in your profile.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We do not collect personal data through the website www.fcxi.net, except when you email us.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>4. What do we use your data for?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We only use your data for the purposes below. Who can see your data and who do we share it with?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FCXI is a social network. Your profile, photos, videos and posts on the feed are visible to other users of the app, such as clubs, scouts and players. So only share what you want to make public. Your email address is not visible to other users.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Chat messages are only visible to you and the person you are chatting with. We only look at messages if they are reported to us for abuse, or if the law requires us to.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apart from that, we only share data with:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Service providers<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> that help us run the app, such as hosting, storage, push notifications and email. They may only use your data on our instructions and under a data processing agreement.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Authorities or the police<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, if the law requires us to or to protect the safety of users.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>A potential buyer<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of FCXI, if all or part of the company is acquired. This privacy policy will continue to apply.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Our service providers are <\/span><b>Supabase<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (database, storage and login) and <\/span><b>Google Firebase<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> (push notification delivery).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>6. Data outside Europe<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We try to keep your data within the European Economic Area (EEA) as much as possible. Some service providers may also process data outside the EEA, for example in the United States.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In that case, we ensure appropriate safeguards, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission&#8217;s standard contractual clauses. You can always ask us for more information.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>7. Artificial intelligence (AI)<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In the future, FCXI may use AI tools to better match players and clubs, for example by suggesting relevant profiles.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">AI only provides suggestions. We do not make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you, such as refusing an account, based solely on automated processing. If we introduce new AI features that process your data in a different way, we will update this policy and let you know.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>8. How long do we keep your data?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We keep your data for as long as you have an account. If you delete your account, we erase your profile, photos, videos and messages within 30 days.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We keep some data longer when necessary:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Abuse reports<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and data needed to investigate fraud: for as long as the investigation lasts, and up to 1 year afterwards.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Data we are legally required to keep<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, such as invoices for paid services: 7 years.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Backups:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> automatically overwritten within 90 days.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If your account has not been used for 2 years, we may delete it after sending you a warning by email.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Deleting your account:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> you can do this in the app via Settings, or by sending an email to <\/span><a href=\"mailto:info@fcxi.net\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">info@fcxi.net<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> from the email address linked to your account.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>9. Young users under 18<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many players on FCXI are under 18. That is why we take extra measures to protect them:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We only show the data needed to be found as a player. An email address, phone number or exact address is never visible in a profile.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Clubs and scouts can be verified, so you know who you are talking to.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can report any profile, post or conversation and block other users.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Reports about the safety of minors are handled with priority.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Players under 16 should preferably use the app together with a parent or guardian. We encourage all young people to involve their parents or guardians when in contact with clubs and scouts. Parents with questions or concerns can always email us at <\/span><a href=\"mailto:info@fcxi.net\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">info@fcxi.net<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>10. Cookies and similar technologies<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Website:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> www.fcxi.net does not use tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. We only use technically necessary cookies that keep the website working properly. No consent is required for these.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>App:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> the app stores small amounts of data on your device to keep you logged in and remember your settings. This is technically necessary. The app does not use advertising or tracking technologies and does not track you across other apps or websites.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If we start using analytics or other non-essential technologies in the future, we will ask for your consent first.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>11. Security<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. For example, data is sent encrypted (HTTPS), you log in with one-time codes instead of a password, and only authorised people have access to our systems.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No system is 100% secure. If we discover a data breach that poses a risk to you, we will report it to the Belgian Data Protection Authority and, where necessary, to you.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>12. Your rights<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You have the following rights regarding your personal data:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Access:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> you can ask which data we hold about you.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Rectification:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> you can have incorrect data corrected.
