FCXI Terms of Use

Last updated: Sep 24, 2026

1. About FCXI and these terms

FCXI is a social network for football that connects players, clubs, scouts, coaches and other football professionals. FCXI is provided by:

FCXI Tinnenpotstraat 28, 2320 Hoogstraten, Belgium Company number: BE1038.273.449 Email: info@fcxi.net

These terms of use apply to the use of the FCXI app and the website www.fcxi.net. By creating an account or using FCXI, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use FCXI.

You can read how we handle your personal data in our Privacy Policy.

2. Who may use FCXI?

You must be at least 13 years old to use FCXI. Players under 16 should preferably use the app together with a parent or guardian. If you are under 18, talk to your parents or guardian before making any arrangements with a club or scout.

Clubs, scouts and other organisations that create an account confirm that the person managing the account is authorised to act on their behalf.

3. Your account

  • You log in with your email address and a one-time code. Keep access to your email secure, because anyone with access to it can also access your FCXI account.
  • You provide accurate and up-to-date information about yourself, such as your name, age, position and club.
  • You do not pretend to be someone else or create an account on someone’s behalf without their permission.
  • You have one personal account. Your account is personal and may not be sold or transferred.
  • If you notice that someone else is using your account, let us know as soon as possible at info@fcxi.net.

You can delete your account at any time via Settings in the app or by emailing us.

4. Verification of clubs and scouts

Clubs and scouts can receive a verification badge on FCXI. To do so, we check certain details, such as the club name, website and contact person.

A verification badge means we have carried out reasonable checks. It is not a guarantee that a club or scout is always trustworthy or that an offer is genuine. So always stay alert, especially if someone asks for money, personal documents or a meeting at an unknown location.

5. Rules of conduct

FCXI must be a safe and respectful place for everyone, including young players. You may therefore not:

  • insult, threaten, bully, intimidate or discriminate against others;
  • post or send sexual content, or approach minors sexually in any way;
  • glorify or encourage violence, hatred or illegal activities;
  • post fake profiles, fake offers or misleading information;
  • ask users for money for a trial, transfer or place in a team, or defraud them in any other way;
  • share other people’s personal data without their permission;
  • post content you do not have the rights to, such as other people’s videos or photos;
  • send spam, advertising or chain messages;
  • hack or copy the app, collect data automatically (scraping), or disrupt how it works.

If you break these rules, we may take action as described in sections 8 and 9.

6. Content you share

You remain the owner of the photos, videos, texts and other content you post on FCXI.

By posting content, you give FCXI a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, store and technically adapt that content (for example, the format of a video) to the extent necessary to operate FCXI. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except for content others have already shared or that we are legally required to keep.

You are responsible for what you post. Make sure you have permission from everyone who can be recognised in your photos or videos, and, for minors, from their parents or guardian.

7. Messaging and contact with other users

The chat lets you contact players, clubs and scouts directly. FCXI is not a party to any arrangements you make with other users, such as a trial, transfer or contract. You make those arrangements yourself and at your own responsibility.

Our tips for staying safe:

  • For a first meeting, meet in a public place, such as club facilities.
  • If you are under 18, bring a parent or guardian and keep them informed about your contacts.
  • Never pay money to get a trial or a place in a team.
  • If something doesn’t feel right, stop the conversation and report it to us.

8. Reporting and moderation

If you see content or behaviour that breaks these terms or the law, report it using the report button in the app or at info@fcxi.net. Please explain as clearly as possible which content it concerns and why you are reporting it.

We review every report carefully and as quickly as possible. Reports about the safety of minors are handled with priority. Where necessary, we involve the police or other competent authorities.

If we take action against your content or account, we will tell you what action we are taking and why. If you disagree with our decision, you can appeal within 6 months at info@fcxi.net. We will review your appeal and let you know the outcome.

9. Suspension and termination

You can stop using FCXI at any time by deleting your account.

We may remove content, restrict features, or temporarily or permanently block your account if:

  • you break these terms of use or the law;
  • you are under 13 years old;
  • your account poses a risk to the safety of other users, especially minors;
  • we are legally required to do so.

In the case of serious violations, such as approaching minors sexually, threats or fraud, we may block your account immediately and without prior warning.

10. Paid services

FCXI is currently free. In the future, we may offer paid features or subscriptions. Before you pay for anything, we will clearly inform you about the price, duration, renewal and how to cancel. Additional terms may apply.

Payments through the App Store or Google Play are subject to Apple’s or Google’s terms.

11. FCXI’s intellectual property

The app, the website, the FCXI name, logo, design and software are owned by FCXI or our licensors. You may use FCXI as intended, but you may not copy, modify, sell or otherwise use these elements without our written permission.

12. Liability

We do our best to keep FCXI working well and safely, but we cannot guarantee that the app will always be available or free of errors.

FCXI is a platform that connects people. We are not responsible for:

  • the outcome of contact between users, such as whether or not you get a trial, transfer or contract;
  • the accuracy of information other users post on their profile or in messages;
  • the behaviour of users, inside or outside the app.

To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to direct damage resulting from an error by FCXI. This limitation does not apply in cases of intent or gross negligence, and does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Changes

We may update these terms of use, for example when we add new features or when the law changes. We will notify you of important changes at least 30 days in advance via the app or by email. If you continue to use FCXI after that, you agree to the new terms. If you do not agree, you can delete your account at any time.

14. Governing law and disputes

These terms of use are governed by Belgian law. If you have a complaint, please contact us first so we can find a solution together.

If we cannot resolve it, the competent court in Belgium has jurisdiction. As a consumer, you always keep the protection offered by the law of the country where you live, and you can also file a complaint with the Belgian Consumer Mediation Service (consumentenombudsdienst.be).
